Really accurate on most rock, pop, and funk. Grooves, fills, and song structure land where the drummer played them. Expect roughly 90% on standard songs: enough to learn a song fast, with the last stretch tuned by your own ears. Honestly, that final 10% is the part that makes you a better drummer. Every player before you learned from imperfect tabs and worn-out cassettes.
What we're weakest at: super-soft ghost strokes buried in loud mixes, very fast double-kick runs, and songs where two drums hit at the exact same instant (looking at you, Seven Nation Army). Dense, cymbal-heavy choruses can pick up a few extra hits.
Every song gets a grade. A = learn straight from the chart. B = a few hits may sit on the wrong drum. C = this song fights our charting, use it as a sketch. No silent failures.
Tip: split the kit in the mixer and mute just the drum you're practicing, or solo the drums to study the part. Loop the hard bars, slow them down, then push past full speed.
